About Clan Charters

Clan Charters is a small friendly, enthusiastic and customer focussed company who charter yachts on the West coast of Scotland. Clan Charters are dedicated to ensuring that you have everything you need to enjoy your sailing holiday. As sailors ourselves, we are proud of our attention to detail and going that extra mile to help you have a successful holiday. This is why so many of our charterers are return customers.

If you haven't sailed in this area before, we'd be delighted to talk about some potential passage plans, be it over the phone before your arrival or over a coffee with charts in the saloon of one of our yachts (biscuits optional) if you're a little closer to us.

We maintain our yachts to the highest standard so you can be confident that you will optimise your time on the water.

We are based at Kip Marina, Scotland's Premier marina, located beside Inverkip village on the river Clyde on the West coast of Scotland. Kip Marina is easy to get to by air, road, rail or bus.

By Air: Glasgow International airport is only 30 minutes away. It is only a 25 minute taxi ride from the airport to Kip Marina, we will be happy to organise a taxi for you, or a bus connects the airport to Paisley Gilmour Street station which links directly to Inverkip Station.Prestwick Airport is less than an hour away.

By Road: From Glasgow take the M8 west, continue onto the A8 through Port Glasgow and into Greenock where you take the A78 to Inverkip.

By Rail: Take the train to Glasgow. Trains to Inverkip depart every hour from Glasgow Central Station. Inverkip Station is a quarter of a mile from the marina.

By Bus: McGills bus service no. 906 runs regularly from Glasgow City Centre to Inverkip.
