The Charter Yacht
Our 41ft GibSea yacht, Clan, is a quick, safe, well equipped sea-worthy cruising yacht. She is ideal for those looking for fast passages in a luxury quality yacht. She has a generous interior space with room on board for 8 people in great comfort and, with a good capacity of water and fuel, offering a great cruising range. Onboard you will find everything you need, including a fully equipped galley – and if there is anything missing we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Clan is constructed using injection moulded technology offering a 30% reduction in weight while making the hull stiffer under way and naturally improving the overall sailing performance. All sail management and trimming can be carried out from the shelter and comfort of the fully enclosed cockpit canopy to give relaxed cruising suited to our Scottish climate while enabling the skipper if desired to sail her single handed with the minimum of effort.
The cockpit canopy can quickly be packed away for more performance orientated sailing and with a feathered prop you get virtually no drag while under sail allowing fast cruising speeds - something she excels at! Under engine the four cylinder 55hp Volvo Penta ensures she has power in reserve, while the leather wheeled steering provides a positive feel with an unbelievably tight turning circle.
Down below you find bright well finished accommodation with a spacious central saloon opposite an ergonomic fully fitted galley kitchen. Either side of the companion way are two large aft double cabins, with the option of an additional central double bunk. A particularly generous skippers double cabin is located forward of the saloon with its own private ensuite heads, shower and seating.
The spacious navigation station has a full range of electronics, complemented with an abundance of cubby-holes, lockers and stowage compartments for absolutely everything you could wish to have to hand. In addition there is generous locker space throughout Clan ensuring everyone has the space they need whether cruising for the weekend or taking advantage of her 200 nm “offshore” cruising range.
Clan is extensively equipped with all safety equipment for up to 8 crew including wet suit, flippers and snorkel! Tender, outboard and gas are all included in the charter cost while bedding, towels and foul weather gear can be provided as an optional extra.
